Radnor Hills wins Official Water Partner tender
We have won the tender to supply our water to three RWAS shows including: the Royal Welsh Show, the Winter Fair and the Smallholding and Countryside Festival. Established 120 years ago, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show aims to promote sustainable agriculture, horticulture, forestry, conservation and the environment in Wales. Its three key events attract a combined attendance of over 250,000 people annually and contribute over £40m to the local economy. The tender win will see us supply our bottled and canned water to third parties onsite during the events in collaboration with independent food wholesaler Castell Howell Foods.
Like us, the Society is environmentally focused and they were looking for a partner whose environmental goals aligned. We are very proud of our sustainability credentials and the work we are doing to protect the environment around us, which includes sending zero waste to landfill, actively reusing and recycling any waste and ensuring that our plastic bottles are 100% recyclable and made up of 30% recycled plastic. Our dedication to sustainability does not stop there. Our solar farm produces 25% of our annual electricity consumption and our deliciously natural water is also bottled right here on our farm in the heart of the Welsh countryside often within a mere seven minutes for maximum freshness.
